@15 “Teens Have a Voice”

Best Buy marketing communications group Yellow Tag collaborated with Gasket to create title designs and animation for the documentary "Teens Have a Voice" that showcased 15 year olds from around the country, sharing their point of view on current political and social issues.  The documentary was part of an initiative by Best Buy called "@15", which gives teens a voice in their communities.

The documentary was featured at both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in Denver and Minneapolis, respectively, during the 2008 Presidential Campaign.  The goal of the graphics was to deliver an authentic teen experience, reminiscent of doodles and sketches from the back of school notebooks.  We referenced lots of real art, including some from our staff’s personal high school yearbooks.  Everything was illustrated by hand then animated digitally.  The final titles delivered energy and POW!
