Design Intern

Our Design Intern will work along side our Creative Director, designers, animators and producers, helping out with tasks that could include research and concept design, animation, editing, visual effects, live action shoots and fulfilling general studio duties.  This is a great opportunity to learn how the commercial studio process works.  Requires a passion for creativity, design, illustration and motion is essential!  You'll also need a good sense of humor, great communication skills, a willingness to collaborate!  Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is a must, as is the ability to draw.  Additional skills such as illustration, animation, Adobe AfterEffects, Maya, editing (Final Cut Pro) and Flash are welcome. Motion Graphics Art Director/Designer

Qualified candidate will have formal design training, BA/BFA required, MFA preferred, with 5+ years of solid experience working in a professional, client driven environment.  Posses a sophisticated, contemporary design sense with a thorough understanding of typography and logo design. Translate verbal ideas into visual concepts through design development, storyboards and animatics to finished works. Understand the art of telling a story and conveying a message by combining motion graphics, video, and music. Interface and collaborate with clients, Creative Director and production team. Open to direction and able to embrace change. Mature understanding of the balance between design, budget, schedule and client requests. Must be an expert in AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design. Maya and/or Flame skills are a plus.
